In Sanskrit, the word for oil—sneha—also means love. This shared meaning reveals something ancient and intuitive: oil is not simply functional, it is relational. For us, body oiling is a foundational practice—rooted in Ayurveda, informed by herbalism, and guided by reverence for the living world. Our formulations are built around abundant, whole-plant lipids because the skin recognizes oil as kin.

Our body oils and body butters are pure, luscious lipids—made without waxes, emulsifiers, preservatives, fillers, added water, or synthetic fragrance. Because of this purity, they are designed to be used together.
After bathing or showering, when skin is warm and still slightly damp, begin with body oil. This first layer delivers essential fatty acids and therapeutic plant constituents. Follow with body butter to seal in moisture, create a breathable barrier, and prevent transepidermal water loss.
